Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Mushroom 2 Mars ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website (mushroom2mars.xyz), our browser-based game (game.mushroom2mars.xyz), and related services including the $M2M token presale, the Igloo Earth product line, and our NFT collections.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly: your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter; your name and contact details if you reach out to us for support, partnerships, or press inquiries; and shipping details if you order an Igloo Earth device.

Wallet and blockchain information: when you connect a wallet to play the game, purchase $M2M tokens, or interact with our NFT collections, we can see your public wallet address and on-chain transaction activity related to our contracts. This information is public by nature on the Ethereum blockchain — we do not control it, cannot alter it, and never have access to your private keys or seed phrase.

Automatically collected information: standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, collected through normal web server logs and any analytics tools we use to understand site traffic.

2. How we use information

We use the information above to: operate and improve the website and game; process presale token purchases and Igloo Earth orders; send newsletter updates to subscribers who opt in; respond to support and partnership inquiries; detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or security issues; and comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Blockchain transactions

Purchases of $M2M tokens and interactions with our NFT contracts occur on the Ethereum blockchain. Blockchain transactions are public, permanent, and cannot be deleted, altered, or reversed by us or anyone else. By connecting a wallet, you understand that your wallet address and associated transaction history become part of the public ledger.

4. Third-party services

Our site links to and may embed content from third parties, including Etherscan, OpenSea, Discord, Telegram, X (Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them — we are not responsible for how third parties handle information once you leave our site or interact with their platforms.

5. Cookies

We may use cookies or similar local storage technologies to keep the site and game functioning correctly (for example, remembering wallet-connection state) and to understand aggregate site usage. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some site features may not work correctly without them.

6. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — particularly for anything you choose to expose voluntarily on a public blockchain.

7. Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send. You can disconnect your wallet from the site or game at any time through your wallet extension. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you (excluding public blockchain data, which cannot be altered), contact us using the details below.

8. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Blog comments, reactions and avatars

Our blog lets you comment and react without creating an account. Here is exactly what happens to the information involved.

What we store when you comment: your name (or nickname), your comment, the time, and the article it belongs to. If you enter an e-mail address, we do not store the address itself: we keep only a one-way code (a hash) made from it. We also keep a scrambled, salted form of your IP address to prevent spam and abuse; it cannot be turned back into your IP address.

Profile pictures: if a Gravatar exists for your e-mail code, we show it; otherwise we generate a low-poly avatar from the code. Our server fetches the Gravatar, so your browser does not contact Gravatar when you read the page.

Security check: to keep out bots, the comment form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. Cloudflare may process technical information about your browser and device for this purpose, under its own privacy policy.

Reactions and likes: each visitor can react once per article. We count this using a scrambled form of your IP address and browser details, not an account.

In your browser: if you comment, your name is remembered in your browser's local storage so you do not have to retype it. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Moderation and removal: first-time commenters are held for review, and we remove spam, abuse and off-topic comments. To have a comment of yours removed, contact us through the channels listed below. We keep comments until they are removed.

10. How our blog articles are made

We want you to know how the articles on our blog come about.

Sources and AI assistance: articles in the Mars, Space and Mushrooms sections are drafted with the help of AI tools from named sources, which are listed at the end of each article. We write in our own words and do not copy source articles.

Human approval: a person on our team reads every draft and approves it before publication. Drafts that are inaccurate, thin or off-topic are rejected. Official News is written by the team.

Images and videos: photos come from public-domain or openly licensed sources such as NASA, Wikimedia Commons and iNaturalist, and are credited under the image. Some covers are illustrations made for the article. Videos are embedded from YouTube and belong to their creators.

Health and safety: our articles are general information, not medical advice, and they never replace expert identification of wild mushrooms. Do not eat a wild mushroom unless an expert has identified it in person.

Banners: banners inside articles are our own promotions or paid placements, and paid placements are labelled "Sponsored". We count how often a banner is shown and clicked, without collecting personal data.

Corrections: if you spot a mistake, tell us and we will correct the article.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site or game after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Contact us
