Mushroom 2 Mars ($M2M) is a Web3 project with a bold goal: to help seed self-sustaining mushroom colonies on Mars. It is built in phases, and it starts with something you can try today, a game that runs in your browser.
Phase one: the browser game
The project begins as an NFT game played through a web browser. Players collect raw materials and cultivate unique mushroom NFTs using the IGLOO EARTH Mushroom Grower. You can start the game right now, no download needed.
Phase two: a Mars metaverse
Next, the project expands into a metaverse themed around Mars. According to the roadmap it features open-world exploration, a story-driven adventure and competitive gameplay, set in a geographically accurate recreation of Mars centered on Olympus City. Read more on the M2M Metaverse page.
Beyond gaming: real mushroom growers
The plan does not stop at the screen. A portion of the project's profits is intended to fund the real-world manufacture and worldwide sale of physical IGLOO EARTH units used to grow mushrooms. You can see the device on the IGLOO EARTH page.
After that, the roadmap calls for research and production of specialized IGLOO MARS cultivation devices, designed to survive interplanetary transport. The long-term vision is to launch them aboard a fleet of 110 SpaceY rockets, guided to 100 landing sites surveyed in advance by a dedicated network of communications satellites, where they would seed mushroom colonies that sustain themselves across the Martian surface.
